Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use this website and when you book driving lessons with Galaxy Driving Academy in Cardiff.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Galaxy Driving Academy is a driving tuition business based in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Our website is galaxydriving.co.uk. These terms govern your use of this website and the driving tuition services we provide.

To confirm before publication: The legal identity of the business operator (sole trader or limited company) and any company number need to be confirmed and added here before these terms are treated as final.

Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or submit malicious content. Public information is provided to help you make enquiries; confirm lesson availability, prices and arrangements directly before relying on them for a booking.

Links to other services, including WhatsApp, take you to services with their own terms. The academy does not control those services. Website content does not override your statutory consumer rights or any confirmed booking arrangements.

Our advertised services include automatic and manual driving lessons in Cardiff. Please contact us to confirm availability and whether a particular lesson or test-preparation service can be provided.

  • Automatic and manual driving lessons.
  • Tuition for learners at different stages of experience.
  • Lesson requirements discussed with you before confirmation.

Full details of what we offer are on our Driving Lessons page. Lesson content is tailored to each learner, so progress and the number of lessons needed will vary from person to person. See our Driving Lessons page.

Lessons are booked directly with us, for example by phone, WhatsApp or email. A booking is only confirmed once we have agreed the date, time and pick-up arrangements with you. An enquiry — including one sent through this website — is not a confirmed booking.

To confirm before publication: The online booking enquiry form is not yet live. This section will be updated to describe the confirmation process once online enquiries are switched on.

Lessons are subject to instructor availability. Particular dates, times and pick-up arrangements must be confirmed directly with the academy. Submitting a request does not reserve a lesson.

Contact the academy to confirm current lesson prices and payment arrangements before agreeing a lesson. Any unconfirmed placeholders on the Prices page are not a price quotation. See our Prices page.

To confirm before publication: The accepted payment methods, when payment is due (for example, in advance or on the day), and any block-booking or introductory-offer terms need to be confirmed and approved before publication.

If you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson, contact the academy as soon as possible. Any notice requirements, charges and arrangements if the academy cancels need to be confirmed before you agree a lesson.

To confirm before publication: The minimum notice period for cancelling or rescheduling, and whether a charge applies to late cancellations, must be confirmed and approved before publication. These are business decisions that should not be guessed.

Where a booking forms a distance or off-premises consumer service contract, a statutory cancellation period of 14 days generally applies, subject to the law's scope and exceptions. This is separate from any academy policy for changing a lesson. Whether these rules apply depends on how the contract is made.

Starting tuition within an applicable cancellation period generally requires your express request. If you then cancel, a proportionate amount for services supplied may be payable only where the legal requirements have been met. The right is lost on full performance only where the required prior consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.

To confirm before publication: Before accepting distance or off-premises bookings, confirm how required pre-contract information, cancellation instructions and any applicable model cancellation form will be provided, and how an early-start request and acknowledgement will be recorded. This website does not currently implement that booking process.

The statutory service-cancellation rules are set out in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Read the rules on starting services during the cancellation period

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill, and you may be entitled to a repeat performance or a price reduction if they are not.

Relevant information about the service may become binding when you rely on it. Statutory remedies depend on the circumstances; a blanket 'no refunds' term cannot remove legal rights. Any agreed prepaid-lesson arrangements must be clear and fair and must respect those rights. Consumer Rights Act: services

To confirm before publication: The approach to refunds for prepaid or block-booked lessons (for example, if a learner stops partway through a package) needs to be confirmed and approved before publication.

Safe participation in driving lessons requires you to:

  • Hold a valid provisional licence for the vehicle category (or a full licence where appropriate) and meet the applicable learner-driver eligibility rules. Minimum-age rules can have exceptions.
  • Tell us about any matter affecting your legal entitlement or immediate fitness to drive. Notify DVLA of a medical condition where the law requires it; avoid sharing unnecessary health details with the academy.
  • Wear glasses or contact lenses if you need them to meet the legal eyesight standard.
  • Be fit to drive — not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including certain prescription medicines.
  • Treat your instructor and other road users with respect.

Check the official requirements if you are unsure about eligibility. GOV.UK: learning to drive

Paid driving instruction requires the appropriate legal authorisation. Confirm the instructor's registration status and the vehicle arrangements with the academy before booking; no individual qualification or vehicle specification is verified by this page.

  • Ask about DVSA registration and instructor authorisation.
  • Ask about the tuition vehicle, insurance and any dual-control arrangements.

To confirm before publication: The instructor's ADI registration details should be confirmed before publication.

Paid tuition must be provided by an approved driving instructor or a licensed trainee instructor, as applicable; the appropriate DVSA badge must be displayed. This is a legal requirement, not confirmation of any particular instructor's credentials. GOV.UK: taking driving lessons

Do not attend a lesson if you are unfit to drive. Contact the academy about any safety concern. The academy's procedure for refusing or ending a lesson, and any payment consequences, requires approval; this page does not establish a fee or cancellation penalty.

To confirm before publication: The exact wording of this policy, including whether the full lesson fee applies in these cases, should be approved before publication.

If something goes wrong, please tell us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally. Our Complaints Policy explains how to raise a concern and what happens next. Read our Complaints Policy.

Nothing on this website removes your statutory consumer rights. Any proposed limitation of liability or additional contractual terms require review and approval before use.

Galaxy Driving Academy operates in Cardiff, Wales. Applicable consumer law and legal rights depend on the circumstances; this page does not impose an unverified dispute-resolution or jurisdiction agreement.

To confirm before publication: Confirm any proposed governing-law wording for England and Wales with a qualified adviser. It must not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or legal remedies.
